Instead of modifying the factory parts, I purchased three of these for my rifles, and I must say that they did not disappoint. I was able to intall them without any fitting and they function as they should. The price is great and they are excellent quality. To make things even better, the shipping was very fast.

Quick and easy install, worked perfectly. Still can't imagine why this isn't a standard for all 10/22 builds, I make it part of mine.

Works Well

With the Brownells YouTube channel, it was super easy to install. Just needed a punch and a flat-head screwdriver. Love being able to slingshot the bolt back into battery. No more fiddling with it any longer.

This is a cheap but absolutely essential upgrade for a 10/22. A couple of friends told me I had to get an auto bolt release when I picked up a 10/22 takedown. They were not kidding, this is much better than the default setup. Install was pretty simple and only took a few minutes. Just make sure to clear your rifle before you begin any work!
